The Off Licence Friends and Family
01/12/2023 The Imaginarium
For our December event, we’ve invited some of our favourite local selectors for a friends and family party showcasing the Leeds scene…
Established in 2019, Le Frequency is James and Charlie, a duo with a fine selection of records to get the dance floor moving. The pair also have plans to release their own records in the near future. Headline slots in Manchester and other cities have gained Le Frequency well deserved traction. Expect blends of house, techno, and electro spanning across a range of decades from the 90s through to new releases.
Le Louche started his musical life in Amsterdam’s thriving electronic scene. After moving to London in 2017, his heavily UK influenced sound became fully defined, leading him to releases on labels such as Nuances de Nuit, Daydream Records, and Lemaia. Now living in Leeds, he is soon to launch a label with partner in crime Mehlor. Also a serious crate digger, Le Louche has played at respected venues across Europe, and has become an integral part of the electronic underground in Leeds.
As the brother of our resident, Chris Kitchen, Marv truly fits our friends and family theme. Together, they are DJ/producer duo Kitchens inc., and their debut pressing, Mindphone, was released earlier this year. Also releasing music under the Marv alias, you can find his solo productions on Bandcamp. Marv has played regularly at Leeds venues such as Wire and Distrikt, as well as further afield.
Our pre-party, starting at 7pm, will be hosted by Pic N’ Mix, who have thrown a series of excellent nights at The Imaginarium. A crew of fine selectors, they’ll be kicking things off downstairs from 7pm.
Tickets available on Resident Advisor from £5.
