The Off Licence presents Jorge Caiado

The Off Licence are excited to invite a true music virtuoso and hero of the scene to headline our first party of the year.

Jorge is a natural DJ and renowned for his studio and production skills. He released his first record in 2012 on Chez Demier’s Balance label, and has since had a string of excellent releases on his own Groovement imprint amongst other established labels. Jorge also heads up his own record shop, Carpet & Snares, paving the way and touting underground talent in the thriving underground scene of Lisbon.

We met Jorge last year when we visited the store to drop off some records and to do a bit of digging ourselves. During the trip we also managed to catch him play a sublime House & Garage set under his DJ Steps alias. At this point, we knew we had to have Jorge over to Leeds to play at The Imaginarium.

We had the pleasure of working with Jorge recently and pleased to announce that he has produced an excellent remix for one of our resident’s forthcoming EPs on Kitchens inc. Caiado is a true master of his craft and we look forward to getting him behind the booth for the first time in Leeds and to kick off our year in style.

We will be starting out at 10pm, but join us in the bar downstairs as Samtheshmit and Kieran Black will be spinning a few behind the in Plant & Deck record shop counter beforehand.
