The Off Licence presents Bill Brewster

When we started The Off Licence our aim was to bring some of our favourite artists to the city, with a focus on those who’ve never played in Leeds before. Kicking off with CMYK, the man behind Youtube’s most diverse library of electronic goodness and a seriously accomplished selector, then next with Bruno Di Paolo, the synth wizard with boundless imagination. For our next event, however, we’re breaking our own rules and ticking off one of our booking bucketlist in the process… Bill Brewster.

Bill Brewster is no stranger to the many fine DJ booths of Leeds. The residents and promoters of this night were all unknowingly rubbing shoulders at Wire when Butter Side Up brought Bill Brewster to Leeds in 2013. Two of our residents had the pleasure of catching another great set of his for three hours on the Sunday at Beatherder 2019 – a set which left them with the unscratchable itch to bring him to Leeds.

For previous events, The Off Licence has been more focused on techno & electro, but as genre spanning DJs ourselves, we’re excited to change things up with this event. Primarily known for Disco, Bill Brewster has an unrivalled ability to weave in & out of genres.
